North Carolina Department of Insurance transitioned to a new version of SBS (State Based Systems) in 2021. At that time, all active Collection Agencies were assigned a new North Carolina Permit Number. Effective 7/01/2024, NC Collection Agency licenses will only display the new Permit Number, and this number should be included on all correspondence to debtors.
