An individual who applies for an insurance producer license in this State who was before licensed for the same kinds of insurance in his or her home state is not required to complete any prelicensing education or examination per N.C.G.S. 58-33-32(d),. This exemption is only available if the application is received within 90 days after the applicant's previous home state license(s) are cancelled.
