Davidson County man arrested for two counts of insurance fraud

RALEIGH
Mar 13, 2025

North Carolina Insurance Commissioner Mike Causey announced today the arrest of Nathan Hadley Falsion, 22, of 205 Eden Park Dr., Wallburg. Falsion was charged with two counts of insurance fraud and one count of attempting to obtain property by false pretense. All three charges are felonies.

According to special agents with the NC Department of Insurance’s Criminal Investigations Division, Falsion filed a claim with Allstate Property and Casualty Insurance Company after a hit and run accident, fraudulently reporting that his vehicle had been stolen. Falsion created and submitted false documents to support the claim and attempted to obtain a payment from Allstate for $35,000 based on his fraudulent statement.

According to the arrest warrant, the offense occurred on Jan. 27, 2024.

Falsion was released from custody by Forsyth County Sheriff’s Deputies with a written promise to appear in district court on March 27.

“Insurance fraud hits consumers in the wallet,” Commissioner Causey said. “Approximately 20 cents of every insurance premium dollar goes to covering the cost of fraud. I’m fighting this by aggressively pursuing and prosecuting insurance fraud in North Carolina.”

If you suspect insurance fraud or other white-collar crimes, please report it. You may anonymously report fraud by calling the N.C. Department of Insurance Criminal Investigations Division at 919-807-6840 or toll free from anywhere in North Carolina at 888-680-7684.
