North Carolina Insurance Commissioner Mike Causey announces two insurance camps will be open to aid those who have been impacted by Hurricane Helene next week.
The camps will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 23 and Thursday, Oct. 24 at the Lowe’s Home Improvement, 19 McKenna Road, Arden, N.C., 28704.
“These Insurance Camps allow us to work with the insurance industry on the ground to give storm victims direct access to their insurance companies,” said Commissioner Causey. “We appreciate all of the partners who have agreed to come and give victims of this terrible storm a way to address their urgent needs.”
Among the insurance companies expected to appear at the camp include:
- Allstate
- American Family/HomeSite Insurance
- Auto Owners
- Cincinnati Insurance
- Erie Insurance
- National General
- NC Farm Bureau
- Selective
- State Farm
- Travelers
- Universal Property
- Among other agencies…
Local, state and federal agencies responding to Helene will also be present and participating at the camp. The camps are open to the public and credentialed media.
NCDOI is continuing to coordinate with partners in law enforcement, emergency management, fire and rescue, charities, churches and civic groups to assist victims. NCDOI will continue to host future events to assist with insurance claims and other matters.
