North Carolina Insurance Commissioner Mike Causey, who also serves as the State Fire Marshal, will announce a new insurance rating for the Hendersonville Fire Department in Henderson County on Thursday, April 6.
The announcement will take place at 1 p.m. at the Hendersonville City Operations Center, 305 Williams St., Hendersonville, N.C. 28792.
The Hendersonville Fire Department recently underwent an inspection by the Office of State Fire Marshal. A fire department’s rating affects homeowners’ and business insurance premiums and helps signal how prepared firefighters are at responding to calls and battling blazes in their fire districts.
The new ratings will become effective for insurance policies on July 1.
