Commissioner Mike Causey to host Operation Medicine Drop take-back event, present SAVE award during visit to Mecklenburg County Media Availability at 11:00 a.m.

North Carolina Insurance Commissioner Mike Causey invites the public to drop off their unused or expired medication at an Operation Medicine Drop (OMD) prescription drug take-back event in Pineville on Thursday, October 22. The event's goal is to keep prescription drugs out of the wrong hands to prevent overdose or injury.  

The event will take place from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.at Carolina Place Mall’s main entrance, 11025 Carolina Place Parkway, Pineville, N.C. Commissioner Causey will address the media at 11:00 a.m.

The Commissioner will also present a SAVE Award on a visit to the Pineville Volunteer Fire Department. Details on this award are embargoed until the visit on Thursday morning.
